All signs say go for a Roxette comeback in 2011.
Whether you know it or not, Roxette is the biggest selling Swedish band after Abba [Editor’s note: Limmy, I can’t imagine there being a lot of competition] and this will be the duo’s first load of originals since 2001’s Room Service.
Frankly, I’m not sure if it’ll ever see the light of release outside their homeland but thanks to the interwebs, we can all inspect and comment our thoughts away on our respective social media accounts.
Have a listen of Roxette‘s brand new single ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’:
My ears and cognitives are struggling to connect audio with memory bytes of ‘Dangerous’, ‘It Must’ve Been Love’ and ‘Listen To Your Heart’. I’m leaving Roxette future-music alone.
Feed Limmy verdict: Nonchalant snap.
Mighty snap = this is a hit.
Bounce snap = instantly likeable.
Lightbulb snap = you will need a moment to get into this.
Nonchalant snap = need I say more?
No snap = please cease and decease.
Roxette‘s comeback album Charm School will be out on 11 February (yes, even here in Australia! Auspop has it listed on their schedule), preceded by ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’ which will be released on 10 January.
