Leak Report: Jazmine Sullivan ‘I’m Not A Robot’

R&B fans everywhere are left slumped in their seats after Jazmine Sullivan announced her retirement from music.

The American R&B singer – perhaps best known internationally for her breakthrough ‘Bust Your Windows’ – dropped the word on Twitter two days ago and it could not have come at an odder time.

You see, Jazmine‘s sophomore album Love Me Back only arrived in November and the lead single ‘Holding You Down’ – a #3 hit on the US R&B charts – just earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, which she is still up for.

I mean, could this wait?

There’s always been love in the urban community for Jaz and you kinda expect a soulful singer like that to always be around. So, as Queen B would holler:

In any case, a new Jazmine leak has just surfaced and this could be a clue as to why the bitch is calling it a day.

‘I’m Not a Robot’ is sonically and vocally nothing on what Jaz is capable of. If this is your first taste of her choons, back track and watch ‘Bust Your Windows’ and ‘Holding You Down’.

This track, however, features some rather telling lines like: “I gotta get out of this program and find out who I really am.”

Frustration with the industry? Mmph. Nothing kills creativity and art quicker than the business side of things.

Feed Limmy verdict: Nonchalant snap.

Snap legend
Mighty snap = this is a hit.
Bounce snap = instantly likeable.
Lightbulb snap = you will need a moment to get into this.
Nonchalant snap = need I say more?
No snap = please cease and decease.

Hat tip to Toya’s World for the heads up.

Now how about a flashback to our X Factor siren Hayley Teal‘s rather enjoyable cover of ‘Bust Your Windows’? Damn. Nothing instills the fear of God in me more than an angry lez in heels threatening to smash my ride.
