Ke$ha ‘Blow’ Music Video

Tonguing unicorns, slaying a 90s has-been, and channelling some kind of Bond gurl glamoury – Ke$ha manages to wipe it all in her ‘Blow’ video.

This bitch won’t quit giving us every bit of dime store elegance in her music videos and this time, she’s dragged Dawson’s Creek heartthrob James Van Der Beek in for the foolery.

Director Chris Marrs Piliero (the man behind Black Keys‘ ‘Tighten Up’ and ‘Next Girl’ videos) sets Ke$ha and James off in one of the best mid-video banter we’ve seen since in years. Regardez:

‘Blow’ might’ve been the single choice that sent a thousand eyes rolling backwards but at this point in time, I’m ready to just relent to the madness and let this bitch finish getting off on her own tired-ass drunk-pop swag.

Because I’m still very much sober at 7:30pm on a Saturday night, here are three moments my brain managed to engage with the video:

1) “Ke-dollar sign-ha!”

Hurry, eager gif-making elves, I’m counting on you to make this iconic exchange viral.

Ke$ha: Well well well, if it isn’t James Van Der Douche.

James: I don’t appreciate you slander-beek-ing my name, Ke -dollar sign -ha.

2) Eleganza.

Look at her. Isn’t she just a Viagra-hit of Playboy bunny perfection? You know what. I have no complaints if this ho wants to blow dry her hair every now and then, and not just rock up looking like she had just scrunch-styled it with her own snot and vomit. I could get used to this.

3) Rainbow laser guns.

Fuck this battle scene. Bring back Jeffree Star.

Footnotes:

Ke$ha‘s remix album is out in Australia on 18 March.

The tracklisting and cover art is already floating about the interwebs but I’m holding off until we get official deets on a local edition.
