Alright, my English queens. You’re good to go.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor has just confirmed the UK release date for her eagerly anticipated Make A Scene album. The British pop siren is set to drop her fourth studio LP in her home ground on 6 June after letting the Russians have it more than a month earlier.
The album release in the UK is preceded by a new single – ‘Starlight’ – which will be made available a week earlier on 30 May. How super chic is the cover art? I’m absolutely living for this.
Take a listen to the single here:
‘Starlight’ is a charmer – produced by Richard X – who’s famed for working with Annie, Rachel Stevens and Liberty X. Think: lush, intergalactic 80s pop ballad. Sophie had c0-written the track with Hannah Robinson (who co-penned the singles ‘Bittersweet’ and ‘Me and My Imagination’).
With news of ‘Starlight’ breaking, we can only hope that the diva gets right and drops a stylish video to go with it.
Sophie‘s Make A Scene will be released in Russia first before anywhere else in the world on 18 April.
Stay tuned for an Australian release date. Although, I highly doubt we’ll be serviced ‘Starlight’.
