Girls Aloud siren Nicola Roberts carries the promise of a brighter future.
Just when Cheryl has exhausted her X Factor connections and Nadine‘s trying in vain to crack America, it is young Nicola‘s solo project that’s got everyone talking and anticipating hard.
The soft-spoken but occasionally feisty ginger singer has evolved into a young London fashion icon in her own right and her debut solo video ‘Beat of My Drum’ reflects every bit of that kooky designer swag.
Take a look at the video teaser here where she’s just about poppin’ a squat Beyonce style in that one-piece:
‘Beat of My Drum’ is produced by Diplo and it shares the same ‘Pon De Floor’ sample as Beyonce‘s latent smash ‘Run The World (Girls)’.
Take a listen to this amazing b-side that’s coming on the ‘Beat of My Drum’ single, titled ‘Porcelain Heart’:
Nicola‘s ‘Beat of My Drum’ is serviced to UK radios today and will hit iTunes on 5 June and the physical CD single hits stores on 18 July. The full music video is set to premiere on Sunday.
The album – Cinderella’s Eyes – is slated for release later this year but eager anxious me has already pre-ordered a limited edition signed copy from her website without hearing a single bar of it.
