Architecture in Helsinki ‘Escapee’ Remix Competition

Australian indie pop champs Architecture in Helsinki is heading up their first ever remix competition. I know, right? Just when you thought this kind of cool comp was only reserved for Black Eyed Peas and Ricki-Lee fans. Don’t raise an eyebrow at the latter, my producer friend actually almost submitted his mix for ‘Can’t Sing A Different Song’.

Architecture in Helsinki captured my attention earlier this year when they dropped the electro-buoyant ‘Contact High’, as it probably did for a lot of pop music lovers too. The gang has since gone on to tour North America and Europe, spreading the good word about their new album Moment Bends but before they break out any further, they want you – talented DJ/producer/avid GarageBand-er types – to remix their next single ‘Escapee’.

The winner will receive the Moment Bends LP on vinyl, ‘Contact High’ 7″ single, tees, sweaters and a double pass to an Architecture in Helsinki show anywhere. Your good work will also be fanfared on Modular’s newsletter which goes out to a select international group of bloggers and DJs. I believe I am on that list so you can tell it’s all very special.

Everything you need to know about remixing ‘Escapee’ including downloads of the various song parts, T&C and where to upload your mix can be found here.

Footnotes:

Architecture in Helsinki‘s ‘Escapee’ remix competition closes on 9 September. Let’s move, people.
