She has been the hipster community’s best kept secret up until now but y’all knew that you can’t keep a good woman down.
Kiwi indie pop sensation Kimbra has just dropped her third single ‘Good Intent’ to digital outlets. The smouldering voodoo track was featured in yesterday’s premiere episode of Underbelly Razor and it also conveniently serves as an appropriate appetiser for her eagerly awaited album Vows, which arrives next Friday.
It’s super pleasing to see everything fall in line for the quirky singer/songwriter, who’s currently toasting her first ever #1 single with Gotye on ‘Somebody I Used To Know’. I know the album was always gonna arrive in September but who could’ve predicted that she’ll have a chart-topper at this juncture to ease her into mainstream attention?
Check out this amazing live performance of ‘Good Intent’, which Kimbra recorded last year while she was still purveying her breakthrough single ‘Settle Down’:
Kimbra‘s ‘Good Intent’ is now out on iTunes – grab it here. Y’all should also pre-order her album Vows here. Should you be the kind to fancy a good physical CD package, you can pre-order Vows via JB Hi-Fi and score a limited edition illustrated postcard set.
