Chart Feed – 09.01.12

“There shouldn’t be much to report on this week’s Chart Feed because Beyoncé had her baby and nothing else would be on the news, right?” Sometimes I feel like my little brother is the only one who gets the way the world should be run.

On this week’s Chart Feed, the festive season’s definitely been canned now with Michael Bublé‘s career-defining Christmas album freefalling out of the Top 20 everywhere. We all knew it would come to this. Meanwhile, Empress Adele returns to top the US and UK album charts and comes closer to breaking more records, Kelly Clarkson discounts her way back up the charts, and I have a fit over the new Will Young, The Saturdays and Rebecca Ferguson single choices.

Chart Feed – 03.01.12

Happy new year, y’all. I don’t know who approved my time off last Monday but I’m sorry for leaving y’all without a Christmas week chart feed.

I am back on the grind tonight because I know we need to start this year right. It’s such a traditionally quiet time of the year for music sales, technically all your underachieving faves should be making the Top 10 with no effort at all. But of course, there aren’t ever any surprises when you’re expecting it.

This week’s chart highlights include Michael Buble‘s record-breaking Christmas sales that has cancelled everything he’s put out before this year, Sia‘s third consecutive Aussie Top 30 appearance in five months, Havana Brown‘s American crossover, and shit loads more.

Chart Feed – 17.10.11

LMFAO has the biggest selling single in Australia this week with the charming and timeless jam ‘Sexy and I Know It’. The American dance duo managed to dethrone Kelly Clarkson after her one-week reign on top with ‘Mr Know It All’. This is LMFAO’s second #1 hit here following the massive ‘Party Rock Anthem’. Fun fact: ‘Party Rock Anthem’ is the second longest running #1 single Australia has had in this century – reigning for 10 whole weeks. The longest staying #1 single we’ve had since 2000 is still Eminem‘s ‘Lose Control’, clocking 12 weeks. That’s the one to beat.

Beyoncé‘s ‘Love On Top’ rises to a new peak of #21 in Australia this week. We remain as the only territory to have picked up this track and run with it. Over in the US, ‘Love On Top’ makes its way back up to #82 on the US Billboard R&B/ Hip Hop charts. Other Bey singles to be making waves right now include ‘Party’ (featuring André 3000) – cracking the US Billboard Hot 100 at #93 and seeing this success naturally reflected on the R&B/Hip Hop charts, where it rose to #9 – and ‘Countdown’, her third official single, rising to #66 on the American R&B charts. Over in the UK, ‘Countdown’ leaps from #171 to #77.

Ed Sheeran‘s ‘The A Team’ debuts at #32, becoming the highest charting new entry on our ARIA Top 50 this week. Elsewhere, major pick up from the following three singles who all managed to crack the Top 50 in their second week – Simple Plan ‘Can’t Keep My Hands Off You’ (#45), Katy Perry ‘The One That Got Away’ (#48) and Nicole Scherzinger ‘Wet’ (#49).

Watch Katy Perry performing an acoustic run down of ‘The One That Got Away’ on X Factor:

Cody Simpson‘s ‘On My Mind’ enters at #51 in Australia this week. It must really irk his minders to not see this at least crack the Top 50 after all the promo and Skyping he’s had to endure in the last seven days. On the plus side, the blonde teen’s album Coast to Coast rises ten spots to #16. I suppose he is winning after all.

Speaking of winning Aussies, Vanessa Amorosi‘s ‘Amazing’ finally cracks the Top 100 at #83 this week – no doubt thanks to the X Factor performance last week. Meanwhile, other Australian pop new releases like Natalie Bassingthwaighte‘s ‘All We Have’ and Stan Walker‘s ‘Light It Up’ have yet to show up in the ARIA Top 100. Change might be coming Nat Bass’ way, though. ‘All We Have’ suddenly enjoys some radio pick up, becoming the fifth most added new song to our airwaves this week. Shannon Noll‘s ‘Switch Me On’ plummets to #71 this week. People probably stopped buying it because they knew the album was coming [Editor’s note: in fact, A Million Suns as it is called came out on Friday].

Wynter Gordon‘s stunning ‘Buy My Love’ finally cracks the ARIA Top 100 at #77 after what has seemed like an eternity since the single was first issued to radios. I am not sure what’s inspiring the sudden pick up of late, but I’m sure glad it’s happening. It would be great to see this go Top 20 eventually just like its predecessors ‘Til Death’ (certified gold sales) and ‘Dirty Talk’ (last summer’s #1 which went on to be certified four times platinum sales). The album With The Music I Die shamefully remains well outside our Top 100.

Watch Wynter Gordon‘s ‘Buy My Love’ video:

360‘s debut album Falling & Flying tumbles to #10 in its second week. Meanwhile, over on the ARIA Top 100 – two of his tracks surface: ‘Boys Like You’ featuring Melbourne singer Gossling (#81) and his current single ‘Killer’ (#88).

Lana Del Rey‘s eagerly anticipated breakthrough single ‘Video Games’ debuts straight in at #98 this week. We all kinda saw this doing well ever since it started appearing on the iTunes charts based on pre-orders alone. ‘Video Games’ comes out in the UK this week, so check back next Monday to see where she lands on the British charts. LDR really is one of the best discoveries 2011 has brought to date. You can peruse reviews and pick up so many great descriptors of her style (eg. “gangster Nancy Sinatra“) but the package is probably best first experienced by watching the ‘Video Games’ video.

Here it is, in case you haven’t already been clued in on the Lana Del Rey movement:

Gotye‘s Making Mirrors remain as the biggest selling Australian album out there right now – sitting at #4 this week with a shiny new double platinum accreditation. The ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ warbler has earned seven 2011 ARIA Awards nominations including Single of The Year, Best Male Artist and Highest Selling Single for the aforementioned track with Kimbra. Gotye has also been confirmed to perform at the award ceremony on 27 November. Looking on the UK release schedule, I was surprised to find ‘Easy Way Out’ etched in for a 28 November release. Dude, this song is like less than two minutes long.

Sneaky Sound System‘s From Here to Anywhere debuts at #11 in Australia this week – becoming the third biggest new entry here. Other debuts ahead of the Aussie duo include Chris Isaak‘s new one Beyond The Sun coming in at #3 and Evanescence‘s much-touted self-titled comeback at #5. Meanwhile, the Sneaky’s current smash single ‘Big’ moves to a new peak of #58. It’s actually the second week in the row that the song has jumped ten places up the chart. At this rate, they should be well in the ARIA Top 50 by this time next week – right?

Bjork‘s Biophilia enters at a humble #48 this week in Australia and #21 in the UK – making this the lowest charting positions ever for her in both territories (I am, of course, only comparing this with her other studio albums – not greatest hits package, remix albums etc). Biophilia wound up with only 9,872 first week sales in the UK. I’ve come to expect a bit more from Bjork given all the publicity and attention she has garnered for this project’s multimedia elements. The experimental artiste definitely has more of a cult following, which usually means heavy first week sales, then you fall off the charts. If this is as good as it gets for the first week then we might be in trouble.

Watch the video for Bjork‘s newest single ‘Moon’:

Steps scores a comeback #1 album with their Ultimate Steps collection scorching up the UK charts this week, meaning the band can now proudly say they’ve had a #1 album in every one of the last three decades. But before we start toasting, Ultimate Steps pulled a humble 34,200 first week sales to go #1 – making it the second lowest selling #1 in the UK this year. Back in their hey day, Steps managed three million-selling albums – Step One (1.39 million, even though it never actually made #1), Steptacular (1.28 million) and Gold: The Greatest Hits (1.11 million). Could the Ultimate Steps collection gather enough momentum to reach those heights come their April reunion shows?

Evanescence‘s self-titled third album looked so certain to go #1 in the UK when the midweeks came in but by the week’s end, it finished the race at #4 with a total of 26,221 copies sold.

Adele is still canceling every other ho in the game here. The British soul siren is on course to become the first artist to score both biggest selling album and single in both the US and UK since The Beatles did it in 1964. Over in the US, ‘Rolling In The Deep’ is still unmatched as the biggest selling single of the year so far. ‘Someone Like You’ is hands down the biggest selling single of the year so far in the UK – clocking over 1.2 million copies. Y’know, at this rate, I don’t even think this year’s British X Factor winner has a chance of outdoing that come the finals in December. If you wanna compare, last year’s series winner Matt Cardle managed 810,000 copies to go #1.

Looking on the album charts, Adele has not only got the biggest selling album in UK this year with 21 (hitting 3.1 million sales), she’s also got the second biggest in its predecessor: 19. The third biggest selling album in the UK so far in 2011 is Bruno MarsDoo-Wops & Hooligans. Rihanna‘s mega hit album Loud and Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way rank at fourth and fifth place respectively.

Watch Gaga getting caught up in a little ‘Bill Romance’ just for Bill Clinton’s Decade of Difference Concert:

Rihanna‘s ‘We Found Love’ surprisingly holds on to the #1 spot for its second consecutive week. This is basically the first time since July that we’ve had a single stay longer than a week at #1. The Brits are going hard for RiRi. ‘We Found Love’ registered at 20% sales increase in its second week, taking home over 106,553 sales. Meanwhile, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Moves Like Jagger’ clocks its seventh week at #2. Apparently this is only the second single in history to have spent seven weeks at #2 (and never go #1). The last one was All-4-One‘s ‘I Swear’ back in 1994.

Gym Class Heroes and Adam Levine have the highest selling new single in the UK this week with ‘Stereo Hearts’ debuting at #3 with 68,287 first week sales. This is Gym Class Heroes‘ highest charting position there since their breakout single ‘Cupid’s Chokehold’ in 2006. That one also made #3.

X Factor winner Matt Cardle didn’t go stomping into #1 after all. His new single ‘Run For Your Life’ – which was written by Gary Barlow – debuted at #6, selling 39,633 copies to become the second biggest new release on the charts. Consider this, the previous year’s winner Joe McElderry also clocked #6 with his first original single ‘Ambitions’.

Watch Matt Cardle performing his next single ‘Starlight’ at an album showcase gig:

One Direction sees their hit single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ drop to #10 in its fifth week. The X Factor formed boy band is primed to launch their second single ‘Got To Be You’ on 14 November in the UK, a week before their debut album Up All Night arrives. The album features a track titled ‘Tell Me A Lie’ which was reportedly co-written by Kelly Clarkson. There’s also a RedOne produced track called ‘Save You Tonight’.

This year’s UK X Factor finalists will release their charity single – a cover of ‘Wishing On A Star’ – on 21 November. These charity records have all gone #1 and traditionally sold quite generously as well. The very first one, a cover of Mariah Carey‘s ‘Hero’ recorded by the 2008 finalists, went double platinum in the UK.

Scotty McCreery – the latest American Idol winner – has made history in his own way, y’all. The 18-year old’s debut album Clear As Day enters at #1 on the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest man to have a debut album enter at #1. The last record holder was R&B singer Omarion who saw his first album O debut at #1 in 2005 when he was aged 20.

Amazingly enough, Scotty is also the first American Idol winner since 2003 to have a debut album enter at #1. Clear As Day sold a meek 197,000 copies to top the charts. The last Idol winner to have an album debut at #1 – Ruben Stannard – pulled off 417,000 first-week sales. Just saying.

Gloria Estefan‘s comeback album Miss Little Havana made something of a death drop, y’all. After debuting at #28 – selling something like 17,000 first week copies – the Latin dance/pop album sank to #129 in its second week. I mean, damn. It’s almost enough to make a girl vow to never dance again. I love how the forums are crying murder now, blaming the album’s “Target exclusive” deal for the commercial floppage. Basically, if she had done a Walmart exclusive – which a lot of stars manage – instead of a Target one, things wouldn’t have looked this dismal. There are reportedly over 4,700 Walmart stores around the US and only 1,800 Target branches. There you go. Less Mami Gloria CDs to go around. Meanwhile, looking on the US dance/club charts, Gloria’s current single ‘Wepa’ tumbles from #1 to #7.

Watch Gloria going on The View to promote the new record and perform ‘Wepa’:

Taio Cruz‘s new single ‘Hangover’ (featuring Flo Rida) debuts at #62 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, further down, J.Lo‘s ‘Papi’ returns at #96 – possibly pushed by stronger club plays? The ‘Papi’ remixes move up to #3 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts. Speaking of dance hits, Nervo‘s debut recording artist single ‘We’re All No One’ moves up to #31 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts.

Monica‘s new single ‘Until It’s Gone’ makes a surprising leap in its second week to #55 on the US R&B/ Hip Hop charts. Its superb predecessor ‘Anything (To Find You)’ has done pretty well for a buzz single to reach #25 there. Old Mo’s seventh studio album New Life will drop on 29 November in the US.

Kelly Rowland‘s ‘Lay It On Me’ drops a few place back to #47 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip Hop. Wait a minute, shouldn’t it be moving up and not the other way? Here I Am [International Version] is slated for a UK release on 7 November, a week after the dance/pop single ‘Down For Whatever’ drops. Make what you will of this “international version”. She told That Grape Juice that it’ll be a revised tracklisting with more dance-oriented material but who knows, there hasn’t been any more information teased.

Chart Feed – 03.10.11

Rihanna becomes the clear biggest new entry on the world charts this week with ‘We Found Love’ (featuring Calvin Harris) entering Top 10 in the following places: Australia (#3), Canada (#10), New Zealand (#14) and US Billboard Hot 100 (#16). Over in the US, ‘We Found Love’ managed to sell 117,000 first week copies and even before its official radio release, the song has already made its mark at #75 on the airplay charts. The Barbadian beauty’s sixth studio album, which was originally slated for an early 2012 release, is now due 21 November.

Kelly Clarkson‘s ‘Mr Know It All’ climbs to #12 on our ARIA singles chart after her quick promo stopover last week which include performances on X Factor Australia [Editor’s note: she was so charming and sweet y’all] and the NRL Grand Final. The song is currently reigning at #1 on our Aussie iTunes chart so expect for it easily go Top 10 on the ARIAs by week end. Meanwhile over in the US, ‘Mr Know It All’ falls to #38 on the Billboard Hot 100. Radio support ain’t crash hot for it right now. The song isn’t even in the nation’s Top 30 airplay.

Watch Kelly Clarkson performing ‘Mr Know It All’ on X Factor Australia:

LMFAO‘s ‘Sexy and I Know It’ cracks a new peak of #13 on our Aussie singles chart this week, largely due to their X Factor Australia appearance once again, just like Ms Kelly. I have to say, their energetic show stopping performance of their #1 smash ‘Party Rock Anthem’ really did lift the atmosphere. The song, which is perched at #15 this week, is officially the longest staying single in our ARIA Top 50 right now. We’re talking 31 weeks and counting, racking up a “monstrous” eight times platinum sales certification (which equates to approximately 560,000 copies). The duo’s also double dipping in the US right now with two of the aforementioned hits simultaneously inhabiting the Top 10.

Sneaky Sound System‘s flawless ‘Big’ cracks the ARIA Top 100 at #78 this week. Look, I don’t understand why the underwhelming chart entry. Weren’t they also on X Factor like the two aforementioned international acts? I guess what’s standing between ‘Big’ and commercial success that lives up to its namesake is actually decent radio rotation. The new Kelly Clarkson and LMFAO singles will have no issues getting added across the nation but for some reason a SSS dance ballad’s missing out. The Aussie dance pop duo’s last release ‘We Love’ scraped in at #29 at best.

Watch Sneaky Sound System blow up ‘Big’ on X Factor Australia last Wednesday:

Foster The People‘s corker of a single ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ rises to #19 in Australia this week, making this a belated smash for the American indie rockers. The song first dropped in the States in September last year and look at it now, ascending to #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Fun fact: ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ was the first US Billboard Alternative Songs #1 hit to actually crossover to the mainstream Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 since Kings of Leon‘s ‘Use Somebody’ in 2009. Golf claps. You know this automatically translates to daft talent show covers now, right?

Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull‘s new collabo ‘I Like How It Feels’ crashes in at #47 this week on our ARIA charts. In terms of hit singles, the Euphoria era is actually the best Enrique’s ever performed here in Australia. Yes, even bettering that of his smash Escape album. Every song released here circa Euphoria has so far managed Top 50, see: ‘I Like It’ (#2), ‘Heartbeat’ (#5), ‘Tonight (I’m Loving You)’ (#2) and ‘Dirty Dancer’ (#24). I have no doubt that ‘I Like How It Feels’ will also reach Top 30 status in no time. The “Reloaded” repackage edition of Euphoria will arrive on Aussie store fronts on 11 November – featuring three new recordings including ‘Mouth 2 Mouth’ with Jennifer Lopez (a track that was co-written by UK X Factor’s Diana Vickers of all people).

Sophie Ellis-Bextor finally releases her stunning Make A Scene album in Australia last Friday and after a weekend of only playing two 40-minute sets in Melbourne and Sydney, the best I’ve clocked the album charting was #94 on iTunes (it’s currently at #136).

It was an absolute dream come true to finally see her live. Y’guys know that she’s one of my all time fave pop singers, right? Sure it’s not everything she could’ve given after nine long years away – and she knows it. But the “greatest hits” set featuring classics like ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’, ‘Groovejet’ and ‘Get Over You’ was a well worthwhile joy ride and Sophie utterly radiates warmth, joy and stage presence throughout her time on stage. You can tell she was just living to be there for her fans.

Check out this short recording I took of her Melbourne gig at GH Hotel last Saturday. This is ‘Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer’:

This has to be some kind of record for our ARIA charts so far this year. This week Australia saw nine new entries in its Top 30 albums chart but alas, none have been able to topple the almighty Adele who spends her 20th week at #1 with 21. The album is now equal eighth longest-running chart topper in ARIA history, sharing the record with Shania Twain‘s epic Come On Over.

In case you were wondering, the albums to have spent longer #1 in Australia include: The Sound of Music soundtrack (76 weeks), Dire StraitsBrothers in Arms (34 weeks), The BeatlesSgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (30 weeks), Neil Diamond‘s Hot August Night (29 weeks), Delta Goodrem‘s Innocent Eyes (29 weeks), The Original Broadway cast’s Hair soundtrack (28 weeks) and John Farnham‘s Whispering Jack (25 weeks).

The aforementioned nine new releases to crack our Top 30 this week include: Blink 182‘s Neighborhoods (#2), Tony Bennett‘s Duets II (#3), Kasabian‘s Velociraptor (#8), Machine Head‘s Unto the Locust (#10), Jason DeRulo‘s Future History (#11), Alice Cooper‘s Welcome To My Nightmare (#16), Mastodon‘s The Hunter (#18), Demi Lovato‘s Unbroken (#20), Kasey ChambersStorybook (#21) and Wilco‘s The Whole Love (#23).

Watch the video for Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga‘s ‘Lady Is A Tramp’, taken from his new Duets II album:

Tony Bennett must be doing something right to score his first ever US #1 album this week after making music for six decades! His brand new Duets II compilation – which features some young gun collabos like Lady Gaga, Michael Buble, Carrie Underwood, John Mayer and the late Amy Winehouse – managed to sell 179,000 first week copies to debut on top. Tony is now the oldest living artist to have an album debut at #1 on the US charts. Amazing.

Demi Lovato‘s third album Unbroken cracks the US Billboard charts at #4, making it the second biggest new album there this week. Tony might have the overall #1 but as far as digital sales are concerned, Demi reigns on top. Unbroken is also incidentally the former Disney pop princess’ best-charting album here, bettering the #40 peak of its predecessor Here We Go Again. This is a dawn of a new era for the girl. The project’s lead single ‘Skyscraper’ is already her biggest US hit since her debut ‘This Is Me’ and on the flip side, it also became her biggest smash in Australia – peaking at #45.

Havana Brown‘s ‘Get It’ cracks the ARIA club charts at #38 this week while over on the ARIA Top 100, the single sinks to #63 in its third week. Oh dear. Isn’t it baffling that we only have three Aussie artists represented in our ARIA Top 50? Perhaps Aussie artists are better at selling albums than singles? While we’re doing an Aussie pop head count, where’s Stan Walker‘s new one ‘Light It Up’, Darren Hayes‘Bloodstained Heart’ and Vanessa Amorosi‘s ‘Amazing’? The latter should have at least cracked the Top 100 by now but maybe we need to wait for sales to snowball after the Van Am‘s AFL grand final warble.

Preview tracks from Darren Hayes‘ forthcoming Secret Codes and Battleships album here:

Natalie Bassingthwaighte‘s ‘All We Have’ has arrived on our local iTunes store front and right now it’s sitting at #170. The digital bundle comes with two kick arse remixes – including the Khalid one that her label previewed early last month. Looks like the diva’s running in the same circles as Havana Brown these days – sharing the same producer More Mega and video directorial team Silo. The ‘All We Have’ video will be uploaded sometime this week on YouTube. Y’all can expect for her to perform the song for the first time on X Factor tomorrow night.

Nicola Roberts‘ amazing debut solo album Cinderella’s Eyes enters at #17 on the UK charts this week while the current single ‘Lucky Day’ disappears from the Top 100 altogether. Look, it’s pretty respectable if you ask me given the singles’ chart performance. Still better than Insatiable is not usually a consolation but it’ll have to do in this context.

Elsewhere, Will Young‘s ‘Jealousy’ leaves the UK Top 10, The Saturdays‘All Fired Up’ exits the Top 20 while Leona Lewis‘ underperforming ‘Collide’ drops out of the Top 30. The former two have singles raring to go next month but what’s the sitch with Leona? Will we simply  not hear anything until the new year? Her Glassheart album, which was originally slated for a November release, will now arrive on 26 March.

Rebecca Ferguson‘s much-anticipated debut single has appeared on the UK release schedule. ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ is slated for a 5 December release (the same day as the album drop) and someone on the Popjustice forums have tentatively described the song as more Corinne Bailey Rae than Adele. Holy shit. I’m about to lose my mind.

Let’s reminisce a little on old Becky covering Corinne Bailey Rae‘s ‘Like A Star’ on UK X Factor last year. So on point!

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Moves Like Jagger’ spends its fourth week at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 – already the longest staying #1 the band’s ever had. Having said that, I reckon Adele‘s ‘Someone Like You’ might rise from #2 to claim the top spot next week. ‘Someone Like You’ has picked up significant radio airplay in the States in the last week and its digital sales is not too far from what M5 is doing right now. ‘Moves Like Jagger’ sold 233,000 digital copies while ‘Someone Like You’ did 201,000. Speaking of impacts on the digital sphere, Jason Mraz‘s new single ‘The World As I See It’ debuts at #149 on the US Billboard Digital Tracks chart. Glad to have him back.

Beyoncé‘s ‘Party’ (featuring André 3000) cracks the US Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Top 20 while its predecessor ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ tumbles to #8 there. Speaking of tumbles, Kelendria Trene Rowland‘s ‘Motivation’ finally leaves the said Top 10 while its successor ‘Lay It On Me’ is taking its time, only inching up one spot to #46. Elsewhere on the urban scene, Mary J. Blige‘s new single ’25/8’ bullets to #53.

Luciana‘s ‘I’m Still Hot’ makes #1 on the US Billboard Dance/Club play charts. We can all thank Betty White for that, right? Other big gainers there include Lady Gaga‘s ‘You and I’ (reaching a new peak of #8), Jennifer Lopez‘s ‘Papi’ (#10) and Gloria Estefan‘s ‘Wepa’ – which by the way is one of my favourite jams right now. Her new Latin-dance album Miss Little Havana is good fun, y’guys. You need to check out the slightly ‘We No Speak Americano’ album highlight ‘Hotel Nacional’.

Watch Gloria Estefan‘s ‘Wepa’ music video. Glam ma’s mane is serving some volume and body, y’all.

Chart Feed – 11.07.11

So we’ve pushed past the first half of 2011. Who wants to know the best selling singles and albums of 2011 thus far? According to Nielsen Soundscan’s mid-year stats, the biggest selling album of 2011 so far in the US goes to Adele‘s 21 – notching over 2.5 million copies since its debut in February. Second biggest seller goes to Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way, which has to date sold over 1.18 million copies in the States.

Looking at the singles chart, Katy Perry and Kanye West‘s ‘ET’ rules the roost with more than 4 million download sales this year. Next in line is Adele‘s ‘Rolling In The Deep’, coming close also with over 4 million. According to Billboard, this is the first year Americans have seen over 4 million download sales figures – let alone for two songs in a six month period! Last year’s biggest selling single (Train‘s ‘Hey Soul Sister’) managed over 3.3 million.

LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock‘s ‘Party Rock Anthem’ has finally gone #1 in the US. Damn, bitches. That’s like worldwide domination now. First with the long standing #1 placement on our local ARIA charts and the UK, now this? The ears cannot unhear such evil.

Selena Gomez & The Scene‘s sensational new album When The Sun Goes Down debuts at #14 in Australia this week, making this the Disney vixen’s biggest first week release here ever. Over in the US, the album debuts at #4 selling 78,000 first week copies – again bettering that of its predecessor A Year Without Rain, which managed sell 66,000 copies. When The Sun Goes Down has reportedly sold over 101,000 copies around the world already. The new single ‘Love You Like A Love Song’ bullets on the US Billboard Hot 100 this week to a new peak of #66. Bow down, bitches.

Check out the Godmez’s first live performance of ‘Love You Like A Love Song’ on Good Morning America:

Kaiser Chief‘s The Future is Medieval debuts at #25 in Australia this week. I am approving of the unique fan-directed promo they’ve done for this album. Basically, y’all can create your own version of the LP by picking 10 of your favourite tracks from a pile of 20 recordings, you get to design the cover and then share your version of the album. There’s of course a definitive tracklisting of the album that goes out to retailers but frankly, who doesn’t want to own their own personalised edit of the record? Create your Future is Medieval album here.

Jessica Mauboy‘s new single ‘Inescapable’ is the second most added new song to Australian radios this week. The stomping pop mid-tempo is written by Diane Warren (serial balladeer behind epics like Charice‘s ‘Note to God’ and Beyonce‘s defining 4 album track ‘I Was Here’) and it’s one of seven new recordings to be tacked on the repackaged version of Get ‘Em Girls, coming in August.

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Moves Like Jagger’ debuts at #36 in Australia this week. It’s the second biggest new track on the digital charts. Elsewhere, The Voice winner Javier Colon‘s debut single ‘Stitch by Stich’ debuts at #17 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Javier’s duet with mentor Adam Lavine ‘Man in The Mirror’ debuts at #45. Another The Voice duet courtesy of Blake Shelton and Dia Frampton (‘I Won’t Back Down’) debuts at #57 while Christina Aguilera and Beverley McClellan‘s rendition of ‘Beautiful’ comes in at #74.

Nicole Scherzinger scores another promising debut in Australia with ‘Right There’ (featuring 50 Cent) entering at #40 this week, all while her major breakthrough hit ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’ is still in the Top 30 after 17 weeks. ‘Right There’ is the fifth most added new song to Australian radios this week.

Y’know, her label was right to delay the Aussie release of the album. We just weren’t ready for her earlier in the year when ‘Poison’ was criminally slept on. We’re expected to cop the revamped version of Killer Love on 12 August. Who else reckons that the fourth single will be one of the new recordings tacked on the US album? I just have a feeling y’all.

David Guetta‘s new single ‘Little Bad Girl’ featuring Taio Cruz and Ludacris shoots from #40 to #15 in Australia this week. Its preceding single ‘Where Them Girls At’ featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj is only placed two doors down at #17. Over in the US, ‘Little Bad Girl’ debuts at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100. There’s no stopping him, is there? His feature creature Taio Cruz is expected to release his third studio album Troublemaker here in Australia on 2 September.

Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday album finally cracks the Aussie Top 50 at #48 this week. It’s taken a long time to get this far since it first debuted at #71 on our ARIA charts back on 6 December. It’s progress is definitely helped by the catchy current single ‘Super Bass’, which shot to a new peak of #13 this week in Australia.

Wynter Gordon‘s ‘Til Death’ soars to #7 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts! Yes, queens. Let’s go for another #1 smash. Back here in Australia, the album With The Music I Die tumbles in its third week, sinking from #26 to #47. I was just at JB Hi-Fi today and I swear I clock the CD going for $15. Come on y’all, who hasn’t got their copy yet? Serious quality. I’ll keep stanning on your Twitter and Facebook time lines until you become a believer.

SameSame has uploaded all the performance footage from her intimate acoustic showcase last month. Check Ms Gordon doing the next single ‘Buy My Love’ – yes, she did ask me to help her out in case she forgets the words:

Kylie Minogue‘s ‘Put Your Hands Up’ jumps to #25 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts after just two weeks. No pressure or anything but all three previous Aphrodite singles have gone #1 on the dance charts. Are we hopeful? Kylie‘s spectacular and larger than life Aphrodite Les Folie tour is currently making its way around Asia. I’m gagging for the DVD already. I need to relive it.

Vanessa Amorosi‘s ‘Gossip’ is currently placed at #179 on our Australian iTunes chart. What’s the response been like for V Mama‘s new single, y’all? Something tells me the Gossip Bomb campaign might not have fetched nearly enough sign ups before the scheduled premiere. Elsewhere, fellow Aussie pop royalty Darren Hayes‘Talk Talk Talk’ is yet to crack our ARIA Top 50 but the track is currently placed at #89 on our iTunes chart.

Beverley Knight‘s Soul UK album is the highest selling new album in the UK this week, entering at #13. This is a covers album of carefully selected British soul classics that Bev grew up listening to. They include choons like Princess‘ 80s smash ‘Say I’m Your Number One’ (which Young Divas also covered), Junior‘s ‘Mama Used to Say’ and ‘One More Try’ by George Michael.

Limp Bizkit‘s new LP Gold Cobra – y’all have to forgive me because I thought these bitches were long extinct – drops to #72 in the UK this week. This is actually their first album in over six years and I honestly cannot believe there’s still a fan base out there. It’s not like if All Saints were to reform or anything. Right, guys?

Blondie‘s Panic of Girls debuts at #73 in the UK this week. [Editor’s note: speaking of extinct bitches]. I have no comment about Deborah Harry or Blondie because they are legendary. End of story. This record has experienced some kind of staccatoed release first with a digital release, then random retailers copped some limited edition collectors’ editions and finally last week the official album release.

Peter Andre‘s new single ‘Perfect Night’ debuts at #48 in the UK this week. I saw this headline this morning and I LOL-ed: “Not even my kids will listen”. Here the cheesy pop peddler explains that UK radio’s not the only crowd shunning his latest single. Oh dear.

Dionne Bromfield – upcoming British teen soul sensation and god-daughter of Amy Winehouse – sees her debut album Good For The Soul enter at #53 in the UK this week. Y’all clocked her stunning new single ‘Foolin’ yet? Take a peek:

Coldplay‘s two new tracks ‘Moving to Mars’ and ‘Major Minus’ debut at #90 and #92 on the US Billboard Hot 100 respectively. Elsewhere, Chris’ gal pal Beyonce‘s ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ shoots from #58 to a new peak of #29 on the US Billboard Hot 100. This was before the video premiered – expect for it to keep soaring come Wednesday result. Elsewhere around the globe ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ dips to #28 in Australia and #6 in the UK.

Chart snack of the week: Lady Gaga‘s ‘You and I’ shoots to #63 on our Australian iTunes chart, no doubt propelled by her exclusive A Current Affair performance tonight. Other album’s singles ‘The Edge of Glory’ and ‘Born This Way’ rise to #6 and #23 respectively.

Chart Feed – 04.07.11

Beyonce‘s 4 opus debuts straight at #1 in the UK, selling 89, 211 copies first week copies. On day one, the record had already sold 32,000 copies – outselling the combined sales of Britain’s top three albums of the minute: Gaga‘s Born This Way, Adele‘s 21 and 19.

Needless to say Beyonce‘s history making Glastonbury performance last Monday had a lot to account for. There’s all sorts of excitement up in the British Beyhive with her previous solo albums Dangerously In Love and I Am Sasha… Fierce shooting back up to #38 and #45 respectively. Over on the singles chart, ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ debuts at #3 and future smash ‘End of Time’ enters at #62 while her classic ‘Irreplaceable’ re-enters at #33.

4 is also predicted to debut at #1 in the US Billboard Hot 200 on Wednesday with estimated first week copies of 300,000. The predicted figures are considerably lower than the first week sales set by previous records I Am… Sasha Fierce (482,000) and B’Day (541,000). Make of it what you will. On the US Dance/Club charts, ‘Run The World (Girls)’ ascends to #1 – making it Queen B’s 12th solo dance chart topper there. Other singles that have made it to the top include 2010’s ‘Why Don’t You Love Me?’ Beyonce‘s 4 debuts at #2 in Australia this week, where it also happens to be the highest selling new album in the country.

Watch Beyonce‘s delightful Year of 4 mini-doco where she takes us through candid footage of her finalising 4 and being the bossbitch when it comes to managing her own career now:

Jill Scott scores her first ever #1 album on Billboard Hot 200 with The Light of The Sun, selling a respectable 135,000 copies. The neo-soul/jazz artist has been releasing albums for over 10 years now and this is actually her biggest commercial success yet. Might have something to do with the fiercely independent artist’s new alliance with a major label. They sure came correct in giving this record a push.

LMFAO‘s Sorry For Party Rocking album debuts at #3 in Australia this week. Elsewhere on the singles chart, their collabo with Natalia Kills ‘Champagne Showers’ bullets to #14 while the album’s main dominating smash single ‘Party Rock Anthem’ is still perched at #2.

David Guetta‘s new single ‘Little Bad Girl’ featuring Taio Cruz and Ludacris debuts at #40 in Australia this week. The label is obviously doing their best to rush release the tracks the minute it leaks like they did with its predecessor ‘Where Them Girls At’, which mind you – only premiered its video last week. The forthcoming album Nothing But The Beat hits Aussie shores on 26 August, featuring collaborations with our indie poster girl Sia and diva extraordinaire Jennifer Hudson.

Watch David Guetta, Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj‘s party party rah-rah video for ‘Where Them Girls At’:

Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Moves Like Jagger’ is the second most added song on Australian radios this week. Over in the States, it debuted at #2 on the digital charts with a healthy 203,000 downloads. The creative pairing and performance debut on the season finale of The Voice was a hit. Aggie has confirmed that she’ll be returning for season two so you can bet that she’ll have a new album to flog on the show by then. Elsewhere, inaugural winner of The Voice Javier Colon‘s debut single ‘Stitch by Stitch’ (produced by Darkchild) enters at #57 on the US R&B/Hip Hop charts. His cover of Coldplay‘s ‘Fix You’ debuts at #52 in the US Billboard Hot 100.

According to Billboard, digital track sales are showing no sign of slowing down. It’s absolutely the future and as labels continue to make downloads more readily available. As of the 29 June, the year to date track sales were at 635.35 million – up 10% compared to the same total at this point last year, which was 575.96 million.

Christina Perri‘s ‘Jar of Hearts’ has gone #3 in Australia thanks to some positive radio support. Elsewhere, Miley CyrusCan’t Be Tamed album shoots up for the second consecutive week thanks to the tour. It’s now sitting at #18 on our ARIA charts.

Wynter Gordon‘s With The Music I Die is showing a bit of staying power in its second week, dipping only slightly from #25 to #26. Over on the singles chart, ‘Til Death’ ascends to its previous peak of #16. My gurl had just released the six-track EP over in the States where it climbed as high as #5 on the American iTunes charts in the first 48 hours. Let’s see what happens when the Billboard charts come in on Wednesday. ‘Til Death’ had soared to #14 on the US Dance/Club charts after only four weeks.

Britney‘s ‘I Wanna Go’ debuts at #33 in Australia this week. Have you guys clocked the handful of official UK remixes her label had uploaded? Check it out here. She will reportedly drop a new remix album soon to accompany the release of her tenth signature fragrance ‘Cosmic Radiance’. It’s all expected to unfold next month.

Sneaky Sound System‘s ‘We Love’ moves to a new peak of #32. The duo are currently on a national tour to give y’all a taste of the forthcoming album so expect for this single to keep rising on the charts. The new album From Here to Anywhere will drop on 26 August.

Coldplay‘s ‘Every Teardrop is a Waterfall’ cops a Glastonbury-fuelled surge back up the charts as it travels from #42 to #10 in the UK this week. The band’s headlining gig also saw old singles returning to the Top 75 – check ‘In My Place’ (#40), ‘Fix You’ (#47), ‘Viva La Vida’ (#51), ‘Yellow’ (#59) and ‘The Scientist’ (#68). Gawd, they’ve had some good hits, haven’t they?

Check out the vibrant music video for the brand new single ‘Every Teardrop is a Waterfall’:

Janelle Monae‘s incredible The ArchAndroid cracks the UK charts at #67 this week. I guess for a lot of folks over there, she was the big breakout revelation at Glastonbury – that energy and charisma is stuff of legendary proportions. It’s a shame she never came to Australia.

Pitbull‘s Planet Pit debuts in the US Billboard Hot 200 at #7, pulling 55,000 first week copies to become his second US Top 10 album.

Nicole Scherzinger‘s ‘Right There’ continues to grow in the US where it has reached a new peak of #62 on the Billboard Hot 100. In Australia, the single was just serviced to radios this week with the revamped US version of the album slated to hit shelves on 12 August. I’m surprised the new songs haven’t leaked yet.

Selena Gomez & The Scene‘s extremely likeable ‘Love You Like A Love Song’ debuts at #47 on the US digital charts and #72 on the Billboard Hot 100. The previous single ‘Who Says’ moves up to #5 on the dance charts. I seriously think that out of all your Disney-spawned popstars, Selena Godmez is my fave. That vocal tone of hers is so incredibly sexy and the songs are utter guilty pleasure. It’s a shame she doesn’t get much of a push in Australia.

Afrojack and Eva Simons’ ‘Take Over Control’ may have been a smash for us here in Australia earlier this year but folks in America are only getting into now as they approach summer. Kinda like the belated discovery of Martin Solveig‘s ‘Hello’, ‘Take Over Control’ is now gradually climbing up the Billboard Hot 100 – reaching #89.

Chart snack: one of my biggest K-pop obsessions 2NE1 sees their ferocious new single ‘I Am The Best’ debut at #4 on the South Korean Gaon Charts. Elsewhere, the repackaged version of f(x)‘s Hot Summer [Editor’s note: yes, kids – it’s a Korean cover of Monrose and our dancing queen Rhys‘ smash] rises to #2.

Check out the video for 2NE1‘s ‘I Am The Best’ and see why there’s no doubt that K-pop is running the world:

Oh my gawd.

Wynter Gordon‘s With The Music I Die debuts at #25 in Australia this week. I reckon that’s a pretty decent starting point for an upcoming artist who’s only had two official singles out here. For many Aussies, last week’s promo trip was their first real taste of Wynter. Y’know, finally putting a face and a character to the ‘Dirty Talk’ hit. Before this, she had only done dance music festivals and Mardi Gras in Australia. The TV performances on prime time programs like Dancing With The Stars and Sunrise were effective in a sense because it brought her some mainstream attention. Good news, it also propelled ‘Til Death’ back into the Top 20 (#18)!

With The Music I Die is only just kicking off. Her manager has informed me that they’ll be five singles from this opus – the fifth likely to be a new recording taken from the US edition of the album. There’ll be four new songs on that version, which Aussies will get when the album is repackaged here. So watch this space.

Over in the US, ‘Til Death’ rises to #20 on the dance/club charts after only three weeks. The six-track US EP comes out tomorrow. Now, I know there better another Wynter stan or two reading this. You guys need to check out this new Wynter Warriors fan Tumblr blog. Follow, follow, follow!

Bon Iver‘s self-titled album debuts at #2 in Australia, making it the highest selling new album of the week. There’s been loads of critical applaud for the album and honestly, I tried with it but I think I’m in far too much of a boppy dance head space [Editor’s note: see above] to mellow out to his material. I can do Gypsy and The Cat mellow right now in this minute but that’s about as downtempo as it gets. Bon Iver debuts at #4 in the UK. Other mega new entries on our ARIA charts this week include Bad Meets Evil‘s Hell: The Sequel (#3), The GratesSecret Rituals (#11) and Simple Plan‘s Get Your Heart On! (#13)

Pitbull‘s imaginatively titled Planet Pit debuts at #5 in Australia this week. Would you have expected any less from this rent-a-rapper of the moment? He’s had two monster hits with this album, including the current smash ‘Give Me Everything’ featuring a certain squealing power bottom on the hook. I’ve just had a quick preview of the album and some interesting tracks include the next single ‘Rain Over Me’ featuring Marc Anthony and ballad ‘Castle Made of Sand’ featuring Kelly Rowland (produced by DJ Frank E, who did Toni Braxton‘s epic ‘Yesterday’). Planet Pit debuts at #18 in the UK.

Beyonce‘s 4 is currently at #3 on our Aussie iTunes chart. I know some stans are confused over which versions are available on what format. Here’s the tea: the deluxe edition is only released here as a physical two-disc set and the standard edition is only available digitally. So don’t bother looking for a standard edition 4 album in stores. The current single ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ sits at #32 in Australia and rises to a new peak of #71 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Look out for a preview of the music video on her major Piers Morgan interview tomorrow.

Check out Queen B slaying it at GLASTONBEY today, performing her new tracks ‘Best Thing I Never Had/ End of Time’. Hurry before the ever efficient “Ms. Beyonce Knowles” pulls it down for infringing on her copyrightness:

Beyonce made history today as the first woman to headline Glastonbury in over 20 years when she performed to over 175,000 festival goers in the UK. Since the diva was all set up there already, she also did a live cross over to the BET awards where her performance was beamed to the American public. Ex-bandmates Kelly and Michelle were in attendance there so I don’t know where them rumours of a Destiny’s Child reunion at Glastonbury came from. Did you clock Tenitra at the awards? Look at that stunning beauty.

Watch Kelly Rowland‘s sexy BET Awards performance of ‘Motivation’. You can’t say she didn’t work for it:

Adele‘s life changing ‘Someone Like You’ ascends to #1 in Australia, chalking us off as the fifth country this song has dominated with a #1 position. In case you were wondering, the single also topped the charts in UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Scotland. The album – 21 – remains at #1 in Australia. Over in the US, ‘Rolling In The Deep’ is still #1 on the Hot 100. Move along, nothing to see here.

Lady Gaga‘s ‘The Edge of Glory’ continues its return back up the charts, reaching #21 in Australia this week. Over in the UK, the single jumps to #8 while the album Born This Way reclaims the #1 spot. The Fame also gains a few places, rising from #20 to #13.

LMFAO and Natalia Kills‘ ‘Champagne Showers’ debuts at #26 in Australia this week. Hey, y’guys. I guess this is our nation’s first formal introduction to Natalia. Please make her feel welcomed. Expect her to slay soon with ‘Free’ and/or ‘Mirrors’, whichever they plan to drop here after she’s done making small talk with this collabo.

Wes Carr‘s appropriately titled comeback single ‘Been A Long Time’ debuts at #33 in Australia. No kidding, last week I saw his Australian Idol winning single abandoned on a Borders bookshelf. Gurl, you know they’re closing shop, right? And there are people buying fixtures off the wall and shelves and shit. Yet, still nobody wants old Wes Carr‘s $1 CD single. Before you shake your head, you should know that it could’ve been a lot worst. Spare a thought for previous Idol winner Kate DeRaugo, for there were far more copies of her single left behind than his.

Calvin Harris and Kelis‘ fun new collabo ‘Bounce’ debuts at #34 in Australia while Sneaky Sound System‘s ‘We Love’ finally enters our ARIA Top 50 this week at #41.

Jennifer Lopez‘s Love? shoots to #15 in the UK thanks to the proper promo it’s now getting on the European side. She’s still flogging ‘I’m Into You’ and like we said before, the only reason why it has felt like a lifetime is because ‘On The Floor’ is still tearing it up hard on the charts and her label doesn’t want to show it up with a follow up just yet. Not that ‘I’m Into You’ is any real match. While we’re waiting patiently for more new J.Lo, have you seen this clip of her unreleased viral video for ‘Good Hit’?

I know it’s old news but I’m sure some of y’all haven’t experienced its eleganza. Silence! Class is in session at the Fierce Academy. Fingers crossed the full video will surface eventually. I’m thinking maybe for a repackaged edition of the album? Please let there be a video anthology disc like what Beyonce did for B’day. Of all the divas, you know this bitch can deliver some proper visuals.

Cascada‘s Original Me album debuts at #2 on the UK dance charts and #24 on the main charts this week. Ugh, so wretched. Good on her for making a career out of purveying vanilla dance/pop fodder that lovers of September can lap up. It really doesn’t speak to me. I thought she already had an album out when ‘Pyromania’ dropped last year but as it turns out, this is the album and the new official lead single is ‘San Francisco’.

The Feeling‘s Together We Were Made debuts at #22 in the UK. I really do like these guys and while I don’t usually listen to “band music”, these guys give good pop and they really do have a summery sound of their own. This is gang’s first album to feature duets with foxy mamas like Sophie Ellis-Bextor (British pop goddess and wife of bass player Richard), Roisin Murphy and 90s one-hit wonder Betty Boo (whose track ‘Virtually Art’ is only available on the deluxe edition).

Patrick Wolf‘s Lupercalia debuts at #37 in the UK. I’ve seen massive shop front posters for this album in a prominent record on Oxford Street – Sydney’s spiritual home of the gays. I have to admit, I am rather slack with keeping up with Patty’s discography. The last song I really got into was ‘Accidents and Emergencies’. The new album has been described as a really romantic record. Wonder what the new single like? Let’s play ‘House’:

Jason Derulo‘s ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ has surprisingly enough hit #1 in the UK, making this his second chart topper there since ‘In My Head’. The single has so far peaked at #5 in Australia and #14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Good for him.

Parade‘s ‘Perfume’ debuts at #38 in the UK. They’re lucky they managed to scrape into the Top 40 with this one. Girl bands seem to be having a hard time over there right now. I mean, The Saturdays are kinda exempt because they’re arguably the most established British girl band working in this minute. Even so, ‘Notorious’ has had to fight to regain its Top 20 position.

Speaking of girl bands Wonderland‘s self-titled album sinks to #58 in the UK. Y’all would be pleased to hear that JOY 94.9 – Australia’s only gay and lesbian radio station – has playlisted a remix of ‘Starlight’ on daytime. Maybe these divas can catch a hit here with the queens? Perhaps JOY should also start plugging one of the many twinky remixes of ‘Perfume’. I gagged with excitement when I heard it in a night club in Sydney!

Katy Perry‘s ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)’ cracks the UK Top 20 – as expected – with a new position of #11. No pressure or anything but the first four Teenage Dream singles all went Top 3 there. Over in the States, the stakes are even higher for ‘Last Friday’. I’d be pretty happy if it doesn’t better its peak of #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 but bear in mind its predecessors ‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Firework’ and ‘ET’ all made #1. I sometimes forget how bloody huge this bitch is. Absolutely winning.

Rihanna‘s ‘Man Down’ rises to #58 on the UK charts while ‘California King Bed’ reigns at #17. Her other single ‘S&M’ is docked at #54 and ‘Only Girl In The World’ at #69. Over on the US R&B/Hip Hop charts ‘Man Down’ reaches a new peak of #13. You can’t tell me this diva isn’t winning either.

Keri Hilson and Chris Brown‘s ‘One Night Stand’ moves up the US R&B/Hip Hop charts to #19. It sure took its time, didn’t it? I mean, we’re onto the next single already, right? We’re all shakin’, windin’ and rollin’ now gurl. Elsewhere, Estelle‘s new single ‘Break My Heart’ featuring Rick Ross is steady impacting on the urban charts too, rising to #48. Y’know, this song taps into that retro soul glam sound we know Estelle can sell over in the States but I’m just not sold on it. This bores me. Check out the video here:

Britney‘s ‘I Wanna Go’ debuts at #37 on the US Billboard Pop charts and re-enters the Hot 100 at #89 this week. The tour is gonna help sell this one right, guys? So she has announced dates across Europe for the Femme Fatale show – are Aussie fans pressed that she won’t do any dates down here after the last tour’s “miming shock” fiasco? Would you pay to see Britney live? – remains one of the best conversation starters in a gay bar.

Robyn‘s ‘Call Your Girlfriend’ is now a US #1 dance single. Round of applause, please. Over on the dance/electronic album charts, her Body Talk anthology sits at #20. Another notable placement while we’re there is Junior Boys‘ fourth studio album It’s All True making its debut at #8.

Chart snack of the week: Romeo + Juliet soundtrack is currently at #106 on our Aussie iTunes, thanks to a special 10 year anniversary re-release. Do you remember watching this movie in high school? Had a total boner for Leo DiCaprio during class – and that, my friend, is a little too much information. Goodbye.
